My kayaking adventures on Lough Lane!

21 mai 2015

Thursday the 7th, it’s 2.30 pm and as always I’m late! I have to be in Killarney at 4.00pm for my meeting with MJ from Outdoors Ireland and I’m still in Dingle ( which is 1.30 hour drive away ) taking photos ! I’m not driving like a grand ma’ anymore now I’m killing it! So we could think that it should be fine but that would be without me pulling the car over to take some cool shots every 10 minutes!

I’m texting MJ, telling him that I’ll probably have like 10 minutes late ahah! Well I guess i was super optimistic on that one!

4.40pm, Killarney here I am! I’m super exhausted though! I drove about 7 hours and the last thing I want to do now is kayaking!

Driving like crazy and trying not to be late got me so stressed and I just can’t stop talking. MJ is looking at me and I could see in his eyes he was thinking ” O M G who’s that crazy girl I’m going to spend few hours with” ahahah!

I jump in the Kayak it’s raining of course … and not even 5 minutes after we left , I got attacked by a duck! Can you believe that?! I’m sorry but who gets attacked by a duck?? ahahah. Once again I look into MJ’s eyes and I can feel he’s like “Well…. this is about to be…some kind of a journey !”

So I asked MJ ” hmmmm how long is the kayaking trip?” He looked at me and said ” 3 hours!
I tried not to cry ….

Things turned out that I had an AMAZIIIIIIIING time!!!!!!!!!! We ending up kayaking for more than 4 hours on Lough Lane! The scenery was just solo good! We watched sunset through the coolest caves ever and we even stopped on a small Island called Inisfallen to spot deers and have some delicious tea and chocolate! You can imagine how happy I was! The sky reflexion in the water was insane! Almost scary! Thank you again so much MJ for this unforgettable experience and for being the best kayaking guide/instructor/dude ever ( and for having the best crazy myths and legends about Ireland to tell) !

Here’s few shots of that kayak Trip! Hope you’ll enjoy them!

4h40 Killarney me voilà!!!

Sincerely yours,

Lily Rose

Day 2: Dunquin pier & Dingle

17 mai 2015

I knew i would have a great time in Ireland. Everytime people were asking me about what would be my next trip and my answer was ” Ireland” , everyone seemed to agree on the fact that it is a beautiful country …. But damn! I didn’t expect that! Ireland you’re freaking amazing!!! Full of surprises!

The plan for my second road trip day was to discover Killarney. Well i ended up deciding to drive from Dublin to Dunquin cause I really wanted to see this aaamazing path which goes into the ocean (you’ll see it on the following pictures)! And once I have something in mind, God knows that nothing can stop me haha .
I have to say that it took me forever to get there. That was my second day driving on the left side of the road and I was still driving like a grand ma’ ( left Dublin at 6.30 am and made it at the pier at 12am!) !

While I was on the road I pulled over as soon as I spotted the Blennerville Windmill! And the low tide scenery was pretty much breathtaking! What do you think?!! That reflection <3!

Felt so good to drive on those lonely countryside roads…What a cute House portrait right?!

Drove through Dingle and decided I would stop there on my way back! And I finally made it to Dunquin pier!! And you know what?! The long drive was totally worth it! What an amazing place!Once again… Ireland you’re damn beautiful!  I let you judge by yourself ;)

I could have sat there forever! At one point I had to drove back though cause i wanted to get few sots of Dingle and had an appointment in Killarney ( 1.30hour drive ) with a cool guy named MJ for some Kayak adventures on Lough Lane ( those who follows me on Snapchat ( username : lily_roz) would remember it hehe!)

I’m sorry but how cute is Dingle???

Stay tuned for my next post. I’ll tell/show your more about those amazing four hours spent kayaking on Lough Lane with Outdoors Ireland!

Have a marvelous sunday guys!

Sincerely yours,

Lily Rose
